Friday evening

Tim is feeling pretty good. He says his stomach hurts and feels bloated. I just can't imagine trying to sit up with his incision. The surgeon completed the puzzle - he was opened from the bottom of the rib cage - where the heart operation stopped - all the rest of the way down....... I'll let you use your imagination!
His diet at the moment is only ice chips, water and popsicles. Tomorrow may be a start with some clear liquids. They want to move slowly so what ever goes in will move slowly!
After Tim was in the room for a while - he asked the nurse if he could get up.....he took a nice walk around the "block". He did pretty good. It is now 9 pm and he is taking another walk.
I'm sure he will be settling down for the night. It's been another long day - but lots if good progress!
